How We Work For You
As independent financial advisers we work for you, not a bank or insurer. Our service is individual to each of our customers. However, the following process is often appropriate:
Initial meeting
At your convenience we will meet with you in your home, workplace - or our office - to discuss how we can help. We will discuss your needs, explain the various options available and any choices you need to consider. We use a document called a Factfind to ensure we gather all the information we need to give you the best advice. Its vital anything
we recommend is suitable for your overall finances.
We will provide you with a copy of our Terms of Business and agree how our advice charge is to be paid. Depending on the nature of the work to be done, we will agree a time to return and present our advice.
Presenting our advice
We will explain the process we followed and our recommendations. If we recommend a product we will explain why it is the most appropriate and provide you with a quotation, Keyfacts document and any other supporting paperwork.
We will answer any questions you may have and complete any paperwork required. We will ask you to sign our Terms of Business and a Customer Instruction Record explaining how our advice charge will be paid.
Suitability letter
We will write to you to clarify our advice in detail. The suitability letter helps to protect you and serves as a record of our advice for the Financial Services Authority (FSA), the industry regulator.
